Two Accolades for Roar Client MaximITy
Information and communications technology (ICT) training and consultancy business, MaximITy based in Tamworth has been awarded a coveted quality assurance standard and shortlisted for a major ICT award.
With sales up by 30% in the last six months and net profit also out-performing other businesses in the ICT sector; MaximITy has been shortlisted for the prestigious Most Improved Business Award at the ICT Excellence Awards; last year there were over 400 participants across all categories. The awards ceremony will take place at the National Motorcycle Museum on 10th November.
MaximITy proprietor, Tracy Pound was already an Accredit UK assessor and puts much of MaximITy’s success down to applying the principles of the Accredit UK Standard throughout the business. The areas of her business that have been significantly improved by implementing the Standard are customer relationships, a new approach to business generation, a new marketing process and improvements to the delivery of services and in-house processes.
When asked what has given MaximITy such a boost in the last year Pound said “Firstly, excellence is at the heart of everything MaximITy does, and secondly I have invested significantly in the business, by applying the principles of the Accredit UK Standard, and I have also invested time and resources in improving my own leadership and management skills. It’s a combination of these factors that has given MaximITy a significant competitive advantage and has resulted in the high levels of growth and profitability that are being achieved.”
Supported by BSI and part-funded by Advantage West Midlands, The Accredit UK Standard enables suppliers operating in the many sectors of ICT to show that they satisfy the requirements of potential customers, because the Standard measures areas that are important to both suppliers and purchasers.
Pound continued “Achieving the Accredit UK standard and being shortlisted for the Most Improved Business Award is recognition from external bodies that the investment, and what I have done to improve the business, has had a positive impact. I can now prove that MaximITy personnel are well managed and trained, the business has excellent business and technical processes and a track record of giving first-class performance. The credibility that these accolades bring will enable me to win business from larger organisations.”
